Sweet, uplifting, though with some deeper questions than might be suggested in the blurb. Certain things were predictable to this definitely-not-a-middle-grader, but would likely be more on point for the target group.Review to come.

this book was really imaginative and had a really good story line. as well as Ethel (main character) turning invisible, she also learns who she really is.

I really liked this book. I loved how the author wrote it and the ending was so good. I loved how there were a lot of unexpected events that came up.

What I've grown to love about Ross Welford's books is that he takes something that's been done a million times before but finds a way to make it feel fresh, new, and wholly exciting. Ethel discovers she is able to turn invisible from the most absurd and ridiculous source but it just adds to the magic of the stories he weaves. Also, the very real problems of this power are very much expressed through the biggest flaw of all: Ethel has to be naked to be fully invisible.This audiobook is narrated

Overall i enjoyed reading this book however at some points i was quite bored with the story. I found it funny and enjoyed the mystery of who the girls mother is. I would definitely recommend this book to fans of Ross Welford as it fits as a subtle fiction book.

A second very enjoyable mixture of the mundane and the magical from this author, which is superior to his first, if quite similar in approach and location. Here we have a girl who uses some potion to remove her horrendous zits, and a free sunbed (don't ask), which combine and make her invisible.
