Discuss Of Books The Evil Experiment (Star Wars: Jedi Apprentice #12)
Its not as intense as it could have been if I didnt know that both Qui-Gon and Didi make it through this, but still. Man. And the ending. Good thing Ive got the next book.

This book was pretty good. I like the villain, I like the bounty Hunter character, and I think that the supporting characters are really cool. The narrative is also incredibly strong. And of course, the main characters are as compelling as they always have been. My only complaint is I thought that the writing couldve been better a little bit sometimes. But the action sequences read really well done. I give this book a solid 3.83/5.00 stars - another enjoyable entry in a very good series.

Story (Jude Watson): 5/10Cover Art: 7/10 (The cover art really helps you to picture the chamber Qui-Gon is held in. Since he is held there for most of the book, it's a helpful visualization)PARENTS GUIDEAge Level: 4+Violence: 3/10Basic hand to hand combat and non-gory fight scenes. Qui-Gon is kept in the chamber and tortured he is stuck with needles, and blood is taken out of him. It's not too graphically explained but it's still present. Sex/Nudity: 0/10Profanity: 0/10

Entry two in a three-book story arc. I liked this one. Lots of Qui-Gon being Qui-Gon, and a fast-paced story around it of Obi-Wan and Astri (and Tahl) trying to figure out the mystery. The villain of this tale is particularly nasty.

WARNING: This is a nerd review.I am trying to make my way through all of the expanded universe Star Wars books and comics. I'm trying to read them in order, using the Wookieepedia list. The number of stars I give each book is simply based on how much I enjoyed the story, not a comment on the quality of the literature. This is getting back to the good old fashioned serials mysteries. The last couple of books have had these deep philosophical messages that are Star Wars covered issues from our own

Back on this train because I need inspiration. Now we're really getting into the thick of Jenna Zan Arbor's evil plot, and I know it's just going to get worse. I'm desperate to know who the mysterious second person in her facility is! "You don't know him, but you're close to him." I rarely stumble over a plot point I don't already know about through fandom osmosis, so I'm excited!

This was an enjoyable quick read. This is only part 1. I'm starting part 2 to see how it ends.
