Commentary In Pursuance Of Books Dark Corner
From Brandon Massey, award-winning author of Thunderland, comes a terrifying new novel about a town besieged by evil...and the one man who is determined to fight the darkness...When renowned author Richard Hunter dies in a boating accident, his son David travels to Mason's Corner, Mississippi, to find out more about the father he never really knew. At first, Mason's Corner seems friendly and unassuming-the perfect "small town." But after a newcomer moves into the old-and supposedly haunted-mansion on the hill, everything changes...
People begin to disappear. Dogs viciously attack. And soon David discovers that the terror consuming this place has its roots in his own family tree...
For something has risen in Mason's Corner. Something with bloody ties to the town's past. Something undead--and hungering for vengeance...

I have historically never been a fan of vampire stories, but Dark Corner is a glaring exception. Massey's style, character development, and sheer writing skill kept me on the edge of my seat until the final page. A definite must-read.Okay, I didnt know exactly what this story was going to be about going in. I missed the clue in the blurb that mentioned something undead. When I found out what that was, I was thinking, oh no, not sure this book is what I was hoping it would be. About 8 chapters later I realized I didnt want to put the book down.Told from several points of view, you learn exactly what evil is hovering over the town. I think the multiple POVs made this story a richer experience for me. I really came to know the
Very good vampire story...very good! Loved it!

Not enoughI am sorry to say I liked this book but not enough. It has a good story line but not enough. It started out very slow but near the end the pace was fast but not enough. The book didn't have enough of something. It was about a man coming to a small town to find about his father but instead finds vampires. And to fight these vampires is his destiny. This book left a lot to be desired. I would not recommend this book.
I liked the first two thirds best.
After his father dies, David Hunter moves to Mason's Corner, the small Mississippi town where his father lived. David wants to learn about his family, since he didn't know his father very well. Mason's Corner seems a like a friendly small Southern town, but then a newcomer moves into the "haunted" house on the hill. Strange things start happening, and as David learns more about his family, he learns about what is happening in the town. The story of the town's history and the connection of all
