New Blood (Bloody Little Secrets #2)
Vicky and her friends thought they got rid of the danger stalking them and things would settle down enough for them to relax a little. Turns out getting rid of one source of danger was inviting another. They soon found out that the vampire hierarchy is far reaching.
I have to admit that the scenario set up in New Blood was a little crazy, but it still worked. I don’t want to give anything, so there’s not a lot I can tell you. Regardless of how crazy the circumstances, it still made me think ‘what if?’ I love when authors do that. I also still love Karly Kirkpatrick’s vampires. They’re not perfect. They’re monsters who are trying to survive without killing anyone in the process, which isn’t always easy. They’re teenagers who thankfully have a moral compass. They still do impetuous things and end up paying the consequences.
New Blood doesn’t end in a cliff hanger, but it’s obvious that there’s more to come. I can’t wait to see what the author has in store for this human/vampire mix before they end their senior year.
Another awesome book by Karly Kirkpatrick. I have to admit, I have wanted this second book since finishing the first one a while ago. I enjoyed Vicky Hernandez and her vampire life. I felt she grew as her life became complicated and not in an unbelievable way as in so many stories nowadays. I really enjoyed this story and how the story unfolds and travels. I also really liked the way the love story is portrayed - not crazy and all consuming making the characters seem unrealistic. This love story

LOVE IT!! I'm totally in love with this whole group of kids..of course now they are more vampire then human.. I think they should just turn the last couple and be done with it!!! As much as I wanted to see James fry, his plan was pretty dam brilliant!! lol!! and when they brought the queen in on it, I totally cracked up!!! I wonder if the royals are aware they are characters in a book lmao!!!!! Vicky said at the end, she can't wait to see what happens next!! I pray that means there will be
Not too bad. I liked itOk so it was a little bit corny in the second half but it was also fun. I read a lot of these books for fun and not for serious reading. Sometimes I like light reading for fun and silliness, not that this book was silly but it was kinda fun in the last half. I did enjoy the story. There were a few small typos but nothing too bad really, and the writing itself was just ok, I surely have read a lot worse books. I also read book one and I liked it too, also a kind of fun
Loving itIt is easy to become immersed in this series. It will be difficult waiting for the next book. The characters are lovable and I always fear for their safety
I was honestly debating on whether or not to re-read Bloody Little Secrets before picking up New Blood. Since its been taunting me to read it since I downloaded it I decided I couldnt wait any longer. Turns out I shouldnt have worried. Karly Kirkpatrick did an amazing job of catching me up as I read. That doesnt mean that I wont ever re-read the first book in this series and it definitely doesnt mean that you shouldnt read the books in order. There wasnt a lot of back story given, just enough to

A good attempt at a good story, but a little to childish in the writing & story for me.Another awesome book by Karly Kirkpatrick.
