The best volumne of the series I have read so far.Set during the early months of the War of 1812, The Fortune of War is an incredibly well-paced adventure that takes its protagonists through a series of misfortunes (first shipwrecked, then prisoners of war!) from Australia all the way to the United States that have just recently declared war on Britain.That the book is mainly set on land actually enhances its appeal.
