Relation Supposing Books Si

I haven’t read much of Bob Ong’s works, by far this is the third book and I got to tell you it struck me that it was very different; I was used to his comedic style but didn’t expect this one. The style of writing was really one of my favorites; writing in reverse was unique. I think of it as sort of a memoir but it’s not because it’s fiction. The love story was beautifully written along with tragic and bittersweet events that life has to offer to any human being. The Melancholic punch of this book have not brought me in tears but I finish up contemplating about life, love, things as "soulmates" and wonder will I experience the same nostalgia?

Comment On Regarding Books Si
Actual rating: 3.5 stars

Actual Rating: 3.5⭐

"Si" by Bob Ong had been a captivating book to read, since it possessed a refreshing format and writing style. This had been funny, nostalgic, and sad; it had such lovable characters and back stories as well. I would have to say that I liked the beginning and the middle part better than the latter part, but overall, I enjoyed reading this book. If you are looking for a story about soul mates, family, and love. This one is for you.My actual rating for this was 3.5/5 stars.

Well written and effective narrative about love and selfishness.

I have to admit, the backward storytelling was ingenious. You're basically going back in time, but moving forward with the story. Reading it was trying to find out what happened, instead of finding out what was going to happen. With that said, I didn't feel invested in the story despite the lyrical, mapabagbag-damdaming prose especially towards the end. Happy that the author gets to experiment and publish different kinds of books like this one, being able to veer away from the Non-Fiction

I have to read it again. From the back.

I was used to Bob Ong's humor in books, but this one was a whole different vibe. The story was told backwards --which was such a unique way I haven't encountered before. It was such a short read but I definitely enjoyed the simplicity of the story. As you follow the journey of the character, you get more imensed and dwelled in his life as well as learning a lot of lessons.
