Description Concering Books Pretend You Don't See Her
Mary Higgins Clark sends chills down readers’ spines with the story of Lacey Farrell, a rising star on the Manhattan real estate scene. One day, while showing a luxurious skyline co-op, Lacey is witness to a murder—and to the dying words of the victim.... The dying woman is convinced that the attacker was after her dead daughter’s journal—which Lacey gives to the police, but not before making a copy for herself. It’s an impulse that later proves nearly fatal.Placed in the witness protection program and sent to live in the Minneapolis area, Lacey must assume a fake identity, at least until the killer can be brought to trial. There she meets Tom Lynch, a radio talk-show host whom she tentatively begins to date—until the strain of deception makes her break it off. Then she discovers the killer has traced her to Minneapolis. Armed with nothing more than her own courage and clues from the journal, Lacey heads back to New York, determined to uncover who’s behind the deaths of the two women—before she’s the next casualty.

Lacey Farrell lives in Manhattan and is a real estate agent. One day she is witness to the murder of Isabelle Waring, whose daughter, Heather, was killed in a car accident.Isabelle's last dying words to Lacey were to make her promise to give her daughter's journal to her father, and asked her to read it too. Isabelle was convinced that Heather's death was not an accident. So Lacey takes the journal, gives the original copy to the police, gives a copy to Heather's father, and makes a copy forOkay, firstly the names of the characters were so out of place. I read half of the book and it was going nowhere. Since the beginning of the story, I felt like it was a flop Crime Thriller movie. Everything was way too dramatic. And why everyone's full names were being repeated three times in a single small paragraph??? No.
this was the first book by the author that I ever read. loved it.

Of course I finished it in one sitting.
I really enjoy this book.
When real estate agent, Lacey, witnesses the murder of a woman she is selling a house for, she is in danger. Not only that, the dying woman tasked Lacey with giving her daughters journal to her daughters father. Her daughter was killed in a car crash a few months previous. However, the journal is now evidence. I liked it, but there were a lot of characters that I had a bit of trouble keeping straight. The author jumps to different perspectives, on occasion, and the reader knows who the killer is
Mary Higgins Clark never fails to excite. I finished the book of over 300 pages in 2 days-- over half in a few hours. I loved the plot and I could not put the book down. If I have any complaints, it is the number of characters. I am awful with names, so when a book has close to 50 characters, things get jumbled in my mind. For instance, it was difficult to keep Tom and Tim separate. The number of characters also led to my inability to fully enjoy the resolution of the novel. When the murderer
